So, left alone to my devices this weekend due to Ariana visiting Florida, and in between the numerous work phone calls (note: if you have the option of being "on-call", regardless of how infrequently, I believe there is a law akin to Murphy's Law that says it will suck...), I managed to come up with this...

Nothing amazing, but ya gotta love Logic for a boredom killer.

So, I went to see Bad Religion last night and although it was awesome, I'm currently partially deaf in my left ear this morning. Its been about two years since my last loud punk show, and I feel old.
I was amazed at the energy of the young kids in the audience, but I was more than happy to just chill, with the exception of rocking out to Generator. It was interesting to see the generational differences in the audience. The band started playing Stevie Wonder's "Superstition", surprisingly well actually, but it seemed to totally confuse the little kids in the crowd.
All in all, I had an absolute blast. I'm also looking forward to regaining the rest of my hearing in my left ear.

I'm going to regret this tomorrow at work.

"This", in case you didn't get the Faithless reference in the title, is the insomnia that I'm running with right now. An evening of cleaning had led to a night of not being tired. I think Casey pegged the source of my insomnia - I'm looking forward to seeing Ariana tomorrow.

So, what does my insomnia find me doing?

• Shooter Jennings Electric Rodeo - Ok, so I'm genuinely impressed with this album. It has a great mix of old school country like his daddy played, but some smoking southern rock influence. I think part of the reason I like this is because some of the tracks remind me of the Mood Cultivation Project. Ok, so I have to include these lyrics from Aviators:

• Rahzel Make the Music 2000 - All I have to say is that I can definitely see why this man is called the The Godfather of Noyze. Seriously, go listen to this guy, it's amazing what he can do with his voice. I think this quote from Allmusic sums it up:
